BE PARTS APP - Privacy Policy
This BeParts App application (the "App") is operated by BE PARTS - A division of Rama Motori S.p.A., Via Anna Maria Enriques Agnoletti, 2/i, 42124 Reggio Emilia RE, Italy (hereinafter, "BeParts" or “we”). BeParts acts as data controller within the meaning of data protection law.
We would like to emphasize that we take very seriously the protection of your privacy and your personal data and that we process your data in accordance with applicable data protection law. We would like to explain to you below in more detail which personal data we collect in connection with this App and how we use these data.
1. Collection and processing of data and purposes for using personal data
The term "personal data" is understood to be all information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. The personal data collected under this App will be used to provide the services of the App.
Under the App, we collect the following specific personal data for the following purposes (in each case only to the extent needed for the purposes):
• When downloading the App, the information required for that purpose is transmitted to the App Store, especially the user name, email address and customer number for your account, time of the download and the individual device designation number. However, we have no influence on this collection of data and are not responsible for the collection. We process this provided data to the extent necessary for downloading the App to your mobile and device.
• Via the App the following personal data is collected:
(i) Username and password to connect to your BeParts platform account in order to view products catalogs, placing orders, register customer products.
(ii) Your name, company name, address, telephone, VAT number to be able to process your transactions and requests.
(iii) The barcode of the product that your customer purchased. The information is used during the product registration for the machine warranty in order to insert the machine serial number, code and description automatically from the bar code to the system.
IMPORTANT: In order to scan the barcode the App needs to have access to the camera of your device. Access to the camera will be strictly limited to this scanning process.
(iv) Information that you insert to the App: the warranty registration can be made with or without further customer details but you have the possibility (if the customer agrees) to also insert the company name, name and surname, address, telephone, email of your customer (not all mandatory) to set up a full customer contact on your eVision BeParts platform.
The above mentioned data will be synchronized with your BeParts platform account and not be stored on your mobile (except the data described under (i) above; this data is required to automatically log-in to your account). With regard to the data that is synchronized with your BeParts platform account, the data protection instructions from BeParts which cover the eVision BeParts platform apply accordingly.
2. Disclosure of data to third parties; involvement of service providers
Personal data are generally only disclosed to third parties to the extent this is necessary for the purpose of performing the service or to the extent an express consent has been issued.
However, BeParts can also use subcontractors for collecting, processing and using personal data (and they are not third parties for purposes of data protection law). These subcontractors are under contractual obligations, as data processors, to process the data only for the purposes determined by BeParts (and not for their own, other purposes) and solely at the instruction of BeParts (BeParts has concluded corresponding contractual obligations with all subcontractors to assure this).
3. Affected rights and deletion of data
You can request information about which data about you are stored. You also have the right to demand the deletion, correction and blocking of your data (to the extent not provided otherwise by law). Please, contact our data protection officer in this regard (see the contact data below).
You can also delete your App at any time. Upon deleting the App, all data you have stored locally will be deleted.
4. Consent
To the extent we collect and process data on the basis of your consent, we will inform you about this separately from this Privacy Policy and will obtain your separate consent.
5. Data security
BeParts takes all technical and organizational measures required by law for the protection of your data in accordance with the current, general state of the art in technology, especially to protect the data against loss, falsification or access by unauthorized third persons.
